Workplaces

It is widely understood that loud noise from manufacturing processes has the potential to damage workers’ hearing and that employers are responsible to manage their employees’ noise exposure (re: OSHA).  The potential costs of hearing loss far exceed those of complying with OSHA regulations.  Nelson Acoustics can help you assess and manage the risk of hearing loss and its associated costs.

Less obvious is that moderate levels of noise, below hearing conservation levels, may reduce productivity by limiting speech communication, telephone use, making concentration difficult, etc.   Nelson Acoustics can help you determine appropriate sound levels for the workplace, and develop recommendations for achieving them.

We have provided consulting services for workplaces of all shapes, sizes, and purposes, from a 125-acre aluminum sheet and coil rolling mill to the International Space Station, and lots of places in between.
